D for De-addict #atozchallenge #motivation

A word so positive in itself, so as to make anyone realize how it feels to be a winner from various addictions all around at present. Addictions we are addicted to could be of any form and style like social media addiction, drugs addiction, anxiety etc. We just need to figure out the source of the addiction that’s draining all our precious time and energy without giving back any productive or creative value.

I can proudly say that i’ve de-addict myself from social media that used to waste lot more time with no serious purpose, it’s good to be updated but getting update of your news feed every other second is like being a prisoner, never ever able to get out even on bail. I de-addict as i started writing and whenever i open my notepad and pen, i felt more happier than reading those feedback with no/ less significance.

Addiction of any type is like a myth of Sisyphus (Sisyphus, a figure of Greek mythology who was condemned to repeat forever the same meaningless task of pushing a boulder up a mountain, only to see it roll down again) from where we’re compelled to be doing the task irrespective of our interest, we’ll never be able to get out of it. Every thing is important but most important is the BALANCE approach towards it.

It’s quite important to know your addiction and work regularly, not to delete it but to replace it with new and productive hobbies and habits.

Never let your addiction be your obsession  ~ Shalini Sharrma

Let’s strive towards a balanced life where our love is always our passion which  make us and wake us full of positive energy.

  1. Everything should be in limit. Excess of anything can be hazardous to life! But humans tendencies are such that once you get addicted to something deaddiction is really difficult. I loved the quote by Shalini Sharma 😉

Once again a positive, hopeful blog from you.

  2. While it may seem like everyone surfs the web these days, there is fine line between casually checking your social media pages and having a full blown internet addiction. If you fear that you may lose interest in other aspects of your life because you prefer to be on the internet, you may be on your way to an internet addiction. Thank god I dont suffer any addiction that I would like to de-addict.
