While hiding the tears & rebel behind,  she was forced to pick up the broomstick and sweep the floor meanwhile, he had already picked his bat and was out to play for hours. Both were barely of same age. And then they say we have brought up our children, all alike.

So funny no ? I think that day i understood hypocrisy in-depth, no meaning required, no elaboration and no definition. How’s your encounter with hypocrisy ?

  1. And then on the Sunday Morning , their parents listen to Modi ji’s Mann ki baat. Modi ji says ,” Betiyo Devi samaan hoti hain…beto aur Betiyon ko alag Na dekhein.” The father claps and whistles and orders his daughter to neatly clean the tiles. At the same time his son arrives, “Papa , I scored a century today.”
Papa hugs and kisses him. And his daughter watches the scene from a distance and a silent tear drop rolls down her cheeks.

      1. the change can not be done in the traditional minds.. so we need the growing generation…women are not any more kitchen lovers. the first thing is the women generation themselves need to realize the fact.

      2. Even minds can be changed that’s why more and more women are working these days. Absolutely, self realization must be the 1st step, plus we need to separate that guilt from women that her failure to handle home and office equally and even one need to ban those sass bahu pakau serials, i hate them for showing idealized women in pallu and doing blah blah..

  2. OMG , you have strong and beautiful example of hypocrisy .

I am with you . Please don’t misunderstand me.

Both boy and girl are being given equal opportunities as compare to previous generation. But we can look same thing with different dimension. I don’t know ? May be I am wrong.

But always opposite things are complimentary to each other like boys and girl, day and night , good or bad and so on…

No activity in this world is good or bad or better or low it’s our perception that make things worse or best.

If every body will play ? Who will broom or if every body will broom who will play.

We need every short of people to accomplish the totality of work of the society or life as whole for that matter.

I know my comment is not sufficient to express what I am trying to say.

But anyway tried , may be wrong attempt I don’t know ?

But just perception not claiming it’s only perfect perception.

Society loves both girls and boys by and large but expression of love may differ.

    Thanks

    1. Your comment reminds me of one of my teacher who told us one day if every other person is educated in our country then who will pull the rickshaw and do lower level stuffs. I agree we need an order and we really can’t escape the hierarchy that implements things at various level but can’t we just try to make it more equal and if not equal at least bearable for the other sex ? Like u said who’ll broom the place, can’t it be just like boy sharing a bit, we truly don’t expect more.. a bit in the responsibility one has imposed on female sex, just in the name of home maker. Plus i agree your last line that it’s perspective that matters society loves both girl and boy but love is curse if it’s not expressed rightly isn’t it ? How will a girl know her parents love her a lot just by making her perfect in few chores of the household or getting her married and giving her the splendid wedding. What about her dreams, her desires. Society never loves them and who makes the society in 1st place – individuals who take decision and mark the morality.

Again thanks, very good point u mentioned that trigger my thought process even more 🙂

      1. I found you sane, intelligent and understanding, I agree with you what you said completely totally and absolutely.

Lot more has to be done towards this issue. Hope things will improve in future.

Life as whole always have problems , I believe it never end for example if we take best countries of the world where in they better at addressing this issue for us it will take centuries to go…but they do have problems in their own way.

We indians or for that matter any country or culture or society have their own pros and cons.

It’s not just about seeing half unfilled glass. We do have half of the glass full. We will try to fill the rest with our collective efforts.

I know you are the best example if wisdom and patience will take my take in positive spirit.
