Yoga diary #6

The situation is hopeless as i am hardly able to manage my yoga schedule for a week back to back laziness and me enjoying an hour or more sleep than getting up early to see the beautiful dawn. It’s sad no ? Almost 2 months and am still not regular as i know I’ve very tough Asans to handle. It’s hard to realize that you’re surrounded by negative thoughts and future that’s spoiling the present.

But one good thing i can still see through all this week’s episode is – You never feel the same after yoga or any other exercise – full of vigor, strength, motivated and eager to tackle the day. Am happy with this insight. I’ll be very strict with me from tomorrow. Enough is enough !

Yoga Diary #5

It’s almost a month when am pretty regular with Yoga, and i truly feel the change. I hardly spend 1 hour and in that 1 hour i learn to control my postures, bring flexibility to my body and Inner Peace. That’s where i find him – The Inner Peace, the only hour of the day when am with myself, being one with my body and one with the universe who’s constantly watching around.

The day i did SuryaNamaskara (a yogic posture) i was never the same. I felt like every part of my body is on fire, that fire of flexibility (although, it ached my back when i last tried it trying to hold more of every step, it has lot more steps but this time i hold it right 😛 ) which will surely give you a satisfaction that you did something today. I have seen many people hitting the gym, lifting the dumbells but trust me if you make them do SuryaNamaskara, either they’ll fail ( i bet on that) or their flexibility will surrender maybe because they are training themselves for something hardcore.

Okay, forget it. I was telling you about Surya Namaskara, if you’ve less time and want to exercise also, try Surya Namaskara, it will tone your body perfectly in just 15 mins and depends on how much time you would like to hold on to every posture.

Yoga Progress : *Tada* am able to do sarvangasana .. yayy… almost a step behind head stand 😀 Am still not that light to perform Mayurasana or even near about it 😦

Yoga Goals : To be able to do head stand and Mayurasana 🙂

Yoga Diary #4

Last week was so disappointing for me as i chose laziness over getting up early and kick for my Yoga goals *sigh* due to no motivation almost draining out of energy thinking and almost over thinking for things that i could hardly control.

So, on last Saturday i got up and just go on a Run.. a mad run, that’s always capable of bringing me back to my senses and en route i met one of my colleague with whom i used to do Yoga, he asked me the reason for not joining in and i don’t know how my mind came up with words,”I’ll join u all from tomorrow for sure”.

And just to keep the dignity of the uncle, i woke up and went early to meet n greet my Yoga fellows, they are almost middle aged and they love to correct me whenever am wrong or my inability to reach a next level in short they keep me checked. One of the aunty among them told me that,“Yoga is all about strengthening yourself, you’re fighting every day to wake up, come up and seek the nectar of power to fight the negativity in your life”. And i recalled the Kung Fu Panda song one of my favorite,” Everyone is kung fu fighting… you’re not an exception”. She’s so right !

Yoga goals : Able to do mayurasana and head stand soon 🙂

Yoga diary #3

The disadvantage of not doing Yoga is you sleep an hour more, inactive, reluctant to do anything and as if your conscious is embarrassed. Practice makes perfect rings in your mind and a treat of headache hugs you like your ex which you really wanted to avoid (hahaa.. what a comparison 😀 )

Few days back when i went to nearby park my eyes popped out seeing an uncle doing headstand so smoothly and even he made padmaasan (a lotus, yogic posture) crossing his legs without any support. His chakrasan (a yogic posture) was so perfect that i was ashamed, am so young and still that chakrasan gives me aches. And this day of week when you woke up late just to realize the precious time is lost. I’ll somehow try to cope up with this guilt of mine.

Just to remind myself, Yoga goals : To be able to do sirsasan (Headstand) and mayuraasan (peacock posture) soon although am just perfecting those easy postures these days like padmaasan , vajraasan etc 😀

What you all are doing to make sure you do enough of physical exercises ? 

Yoga diary #2

Good to see you liking the inaugurated post Yoga diary… #YogaDay and am happy to see you all getting a bit of motivation out of it. I’ve vowed to make yoga part of my life and in earlier post i mentioned i have yoga goals that i’ll be achieving soon with practice and control.

Till now my favorite asana is Savasana 😀 – it’s a posture where you lie down on your back with hands and legs in relaxing position, this asana (posture) is done after every asana (posture) to gain more energy and to introspect your body organs where you watch them with your inner eyes. When i started off 1 months back, i was reluctant to do yoga and almost slept while doing this and mom had to wake me up 😀

Okays, no more jokes. It really helps you focus, improve memory, lower blood pressure and relief from fatigue and insomnia. So, make sure you do it every day and stop laughing at me. I did it for a bit long few days so what 😀

so, why not to try it and make sure you love this asana (posture) as well ? 😛
